What is NDIS?
For People with a Disability (PWD) the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was set up to support eligible individuals to receive funding for more personalised support in line with their goals, giving PWD more options.
Some of these options include spending more time with the people they choose e.g. family, friends or creating greater independence along with developing new life skills such as decision making, independence, community access and even respite to name a few.
It’s in the hope this will increase PWD quality of life.

NDIS Funded Holidays
The NDIS doesn’t typically fund holidays, however, you might be able to use your funding for the normal NDIS supports and services that you need while on holiday if they relate directly to your disability.
The funding available to a PWD is to pay for any supports whilst on holiday, typically accommodation, meals, entertainment, and other typical holiday-related costs are not funded as they are unlikely to meet the NDIS reasonable and necessary criteria, please talk to us how we can make your holiday accessible.
